This cottage sits on a projection of land... the lake curves around it from the North East to the South West. There are neighboring cottages to the east but there is a screen of trees and privacy fence. The cottage sits about 50 feet from the shore of Lake Leelanau (a premier fishing and boating lake in Leelanau County). We named our cottage "Eagle Tree" because there have been Eagles landing and fishing from the big White Pine in front of the cottage for many years. Many of our renters have been treated to seeing them here on quiet mornings. Two bedrooms on the, scond floor share a full bath. The first floor has one bedroom, a full bath, kitchen, dining room, living room and laundry room. The best feature of the cottage is the wrap around covered porch which offers supreme sunset views. The grounds are enhanced by mature Birch, Aspen, White Pine, Hemlock and Cedar. This location is very good to take advantage of all the big events in Traverse City and surrounding area or just relax and enjoy the all sports lake. The outside deck has ample room and seating for comfortable lounging. It is a private place on the lake, but just a short walk or drive to the village of Lake Leelanau offering a church, grocery, gas station, boat launch, marina, as well as parks, restaurants, bars, and shops. This is our newly completed family getaway. We designed a home to make the time we spend in Leland comfortable, happy and memorable. It's bright, well appointed and beautiful. It has 10 foot ceilings on main and 9 foot up and down. It is 3,600 SF with three bedrooms up and two bedrooms on basement level. There are quality finishes throughout. Hardwood maple floors, big closets, huge pantry, study alcove, beautiful kitchen, cast iron claw foot tub, stone masonry fireplace, Cable TV, WiFi, Carrera marble countertops in all bathrooms, quartz in the kitchen, excellent mattresses, beautifully landscaped. We love how it turned out and since we can't be there all the time, we are renting it on a very limited basis to people who will treat it as well as we do. Our house is a block and half from access to Lake Leelanau and a 7 minute bike ride to Lake Michigan. Leland is a wonderful place which is why we decided to build here after vacationing for five summers. People here say it's a small town with a big reach. You will meet people from all over who visit here every summer which makes it very interesting. Our kids love that they leave on their bikes and can choose to go to several beaches on Lake Michigan or Lake Leelanau, hang out with friends at River and Main (an old fashioned candy store), get whatever food they need at the Merc and experience independence in a safe place. We love that we can walk or ride our bikes to dinner, coffee shops, beaches, bookstore or library, etc and then come back to relax in our beautiful home. Each lake has something different to offer and I love that you can choose the one you are in the mood for. The surrounding area is beautiful. I pick all kinds of berries in the summer and make jams and pies (some supplies are at the house). There are art festivals, wine festivals, music festivals, book festivals galore. Farmers markets abound on different days in different towns. Northport and Suttons Bay, towns closest to Leland and fun trips. Interlochen Performing Arts School is 40 minutes away and last year we saw several memorable performances there. There really is so much to do that we spend most of our summer here and never do it all!

If you don't feel like jumping into the water, we have two kayaks that you may use at any time during your stay! It is also the home of the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore which contains miles and miles of beautiful beaches and spectacular sand dunes. In Leland you can enjoy shops, many nice restaurants and historic Fishtown. From Fishtown there are charter fishing trips available, or a ferry service to two islands (The Manitous), part of the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. First and foremost, we'd like to assure guests that our cottage is cleaned professionally and diligently between bookings. The cottage is vacant for a minimum of 8 hours between guests, and ALL surfaces are cleaned with bleach where applicable or antiviral/antibacterial disinfectants. Your safety is our priority and we take these measures very seriously. Now, onto the fun stuff... Walk To Everything From This Stunning New Home On A Quiet Street. This is our newly completed family getaway, a home to make the time we spend in Leland comfortable, happy and memorable. It's bright, well appointed and beautiful. We love how it turned out and since we can't be there all the time, we are renting it on a very limited basis to people who will treat it as well as we do. The home has 10 foot ceilings on main floor, and 9 foot ceilings on the second floor and finished basement. The home is 3,600 SF with three bedrooms on the second floor and two bedrooms on the basement level. There are quality finishes throughout. Hardwood maple floors, big closets, huge pantry, study alcove, beautiful kitchen, cast iron claw foot tub, WiFi, Carrera marble countertops in all bathrooms, quartz in the kitchen, excellent mattresses, and the yard is beautifully landscaped. Our house is a block and half from access to Lake Leelanau and a 5 minute bike ride to Lake Michigan. Leland is a magical place which we've been lucky enough to enjoy since childhood. The stunning natural beauty of the lakes, the sand-dunes, and the way the air feels... you have no choice but to relax and slip into a slower pace. It's a carefree place, an idyllic slice of Americana that is hard to find these days. Kids love that they leave on their bikes and can choose to go to several beaches on Lake Michigan or Lake Leelanau, hang out with friends at the ice cream shop or old fashioned candy stores, get whatever food they need at the Merc and experience independence in a safe place. We love that we can walk or ride our bikes to dinner, coffee shops, beaches, bookstore or library, etc and then come back to relax in our beautiful home, after watching the sunset over Lake Michigan, of course. Deciding which lake to visit may be the hardest decision you have to make in Leland. The surrounding area is known as "the land of delight". A bucolic countryside with abundant farmland, it's positioned against the almost unreal blue of Lake Michigan with its white sand beaches, it seems almost like dream. With a growing food and wine scene, there's plenty to do if you're tired of the beach. There are art festivals, wine festivals, music festivals, book festivals galore. Farmers markets abound on different days in different towns. Northport and Suttons Bay, towns closest to Leland and fun trips. Interlochen Performing Arts School is 40 minutes away. This area has something for everyone, year round.

This remodeled charming cottage has all that you need to enjoy the fantastic North Lake Leelanau with your family. All told, there is a bedroom with a twin bunk bed, a second with a queen bed, a bedroom with a double bed, and the two sleeping lofts (one with a double/twin bed bunk and a twin bunk bed, the other with a queen, a single twin, and an available portacrib) -- that is up to 14 people and an infant/toddler! We have a large dining room with an ample table to accommodate a large family gathering and a good sized deck and front yard with a wonderful view of the lake. The kitchen includes a refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, a new KitchenAid gas stove/convection oven, coffee maker, toaster, and blender. We have table service for 16 people included in the dishes. We have our large gas grill ready for use as well. There are two baths, one with a shower. There is an excellent cedar outdoor shower that is very invigorating and spacious and also private. We also have a new front-loading stackable washing machine and dryer that include steam features. The backyard is large and has room for several vehicles to park. A dock and a buoy is available for use with the rental if desired to dock your own boat or a rental (both a launch and rentals are available near by). The village of Lake Leelanau is a short drive by boat or car from the house, and the wonders of Leelanau County are available. Have a home base to check out historic Fish Town in Leland or the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Dining and shopping options in Suttons Bay and Traverse City are small driving distances from the house. If you're into the wine scene, we have a great central location for all of the vineyards in the area. There are several trails and natural areas to enjoy in Leelanau County with bikes or hiking. Newly Remodeled ranch home in a private setting. Clean comfortable and just 10 minutes from Traverse City. Wineries, boat launches, national lakeshore, South end TIKI bar and Timberlee Hills are all just minutes away. Parker rd is located on the south end of Lake Leelanau and is surrounded by wooded wet lands. (This house is not waterfront and doesn't have lake access) The private road can be wet after a heavy rain and there will be mosquitoes in the summer. Along with the house the landscaping and yard have been totally redone. The outdoor photos were updated the day grass was planted April 25th 2021. There will be an 8 person table and umbrella in the grill/fire pit area also. Parker rd is a private dead end rd and there are only two properties beyond this rental.
